Food For Thought

Updated: 3 days ago

I select a recent research article once a week that examines the benefits of properly fueling our bodies and emphasize the importance of using scientific evidence to guide our nutritional decisions!

This week's article will appeal to all the carrot and sweet potato lovers out there (myself included), as it explores how carotenoids help protect our skin. These naturally occurring pigments are responsible for the bright orange, yellow, and red hues in many fruits and vegetables—and some can even be converted by our bodies into vitamin A, an essential nutrient for healthy skin and eyes.
